Hi! I’m Nikki, the artist behind Chroma Tales and Coastal's website design.

Growing up you'd find me in the fields and trees looking for any creature I could spot. I was a vet technician for nearly 10 years working with Brooke for at least 6 of those, so animals have always been a huge part of my life. In my mid-30s, my health took me on a new path, no longer able to work with animals I've found a way of combining those experiences with my love of art and bold, expressive color. When Brooke came to me with the opportunity to help give Coastal a brand new look, I was excited to challenge myself in a  new field. I've never designed a website, but the more I learned, the more excited I became. With Brooke's support, I am able to share my own personal work through the clinic.

I have been interested in art for as long as I can remember. I love many mediums from oil paints, wood burning, and pastels, but my favorite is and has been watercolor for many years. I use a palette of vibrant hues carefully layered to capture movement, emotion, and the unique spirit of animals I love. They all have a story to tell, I'm just putting it on paper.
